Against the Winds of Tyranny: International Habeas Corpus, Human Rights, and the Rule of Law

UI Center for Human Rights Associate Director Brian Farrell will discuss how the international right to judicial review of the legality of a person’s detention protects human rights and promotes the rule of law.

The short lecture will be followed by a reception in the Supreme Court Chamber celebrating the publication of Farrell’s book, Habeas Corpus in International Law.
